A Bit About Me

Graduating from the Western Australian School of Mines in 2010, I started working in Iron Ore. Having gained a sound practical and technical experiencing, including obtaining my Quarry Managers Certificate I decided to broaden my experience base and move into underground mining. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges that underground mining exposed me to and knowing the value that practical experience brings to an engineer, I decided to work for a contractor to complete my underground time. Not only did I gain invaluable practical experience in development & production charging, shotfirer’s licence and drilling, I also got to see the inner workings of a first class mining contractor. Although I was loving working on Charge Up, I decided, after obtaining my First Class Mine Manager’s certificate, that I needed to return to Engineering. I have thoroughly enjoyed contract engineering, moving around WA seeing how different sites operate, working with different people and encountering completely different challenges all of which has helped mould me into a well-rounded engineer.

Away from work, I used to enjoy playing footy and doing woodwork. Now that I have two young kids, free time is very hard to come by but I try to spend it keeping fit and have taken up the biggest time waster of a sport, golf.
